Biography

Joseph D. Farley is a sales and marketing management professional with over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Joseph has progressed throughout his career to positions of increased responsibility – starting as an account representative and advancing to national sales director. Because of his hard work and determination, he has earned numerous awards and achievements in the sales and marketing industry.

In 2003, Joseph became actively involved in the community, serving as an activist and advocate. He was appointed by the Mayor of Pontiac to vice president of the Planning Commission, and previously held the position of vice president of the Zoning Board of Appeals. In 2007, Joseph was appointed by the Pontiac City Council to the Financial Advisory Board at North Oakland Hospital. Joseph’s involvement in the community also includes collaborative partnerships with For Our Children (Wayne County) and other grassroots organizations providing resources and services to families.

Joseph is also an entrepreneur. Having started his own telecommunications company in 2004, Far-net Communication, LLC provides internet, phone and computer services to business owners. His business savvy, ethical standards and charismatic personality have earned him the respect and admiration of business owners, community leaders and citizens.

Joseph also served as the director of the Men’s Ministry at New Mount Moriah International Church in Pontiac, MI and the director of the State of Michigan Men’s Ministry for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship.

Joseph faithfully attends church at Detroit World Outreach (DWO) in Redford, MI where he also is a member of the Men’s Ministry under the name Men of Valor. His on-going ministry to men includes teaching and training them in biblical truths and principles to strengthen their relationship with Christ. In addition, he coaches and counsels men on family and life issues.

Because of Joseph’s passion for helping men, Friends of Fathers, LLC was formed in 2007 to educate, advocate and provide resources to fathers to enhance the quality of life in their homes and communities. Since the inception of Friends of Fathers, LLC Joseph has appeared on several local radio programs, including 92.3 FM and 1200 AM, to address issues impacting fathers and their families. As a father of 2 daughters, Joseph understands the challenges men face on a daily basis working and supporting their families.

  1. Wow! An extensive Resume'. If you haven't written a book yet, I know that it should be in the makings-I believe that the Writer's Workshop will be of some value/encouragement to your book. If you've already written a book, I'm quite sure that it will be a blessing to those fathers that's seeking help. What a great resource, what a great tool!
